Working both sides of the golf club industry - clubmaking and pre-assembled - it is very difficult to convince golfers the clubs we build are as good as, and sometimes better than, the big brand name clubs.  Of course you need to start with quality components and a qualified club fitter/club builder. 

Golf clubs have always been in standard mass produced form but just like people who bowl, play tennis, baseball, softball and ski, golfers also come in a wide variety of height, weight, strength, athletic ability and totally different swing characteristics.  So why have golf clubs always been made as "one size fits all"?

Be very careful of fittings being done in parking lots and by free lance fitters - often times these people do not have a clue what constitutes a proper fitting - ask for credentials and/or satisfied customers you can call.  As you should already know, measuring your "wrist to floor" is a static measurement and works just fine if don't ever swing your clubs.  You will not do your game any good if you listen to an "Uber-Fitter" who also believes you can get custom fit clubs over the internet.

Before you start making excuses on why not to get fitted (I will wait until I get better, custom clubs are too expensive, etc.).  Educate yourself - nothing could be further from the truth.  Do yourself a favor visit our partner page, link to them, you have nothing to loose but strokes around the course.

The order of importance of the components that make up a golf club

           1.     the shaft - is the engine of the club
           2.     the grip - is the only place of contact between you and the club
           3.     the head - there are only four types of heads (iron)

                   a) the three- on- three ( 3" hosel / 3"blade)
                   b) muscle back (blade usually forged, but not always, buyer beware)
                   c) cavity back (forged and cast)
                   d) oversize cavity back (forged and cast)
